Day 6

Oh my oh my.

Day 06- Favorite super hero and why

Let me just start by saying that I love superheros. I am totally a nerd at heart and wear my super hero love proudly and without qualms. No, really. I love most of them, and I've loved comics (especially DC) and most of the recent movies out make me really happy. That being said my favorite comic book hero is Batman. I think weirdly enough though, that I love the Batman comics the best because of the villains. My absolute favorite villain of all time is Miss Harley Quinn. Most of the Batman villains appeal to me though. I also have to admit, I'm a pretty big Captain America fan, but it may mostly be because of the movie. Something about that good, wholesome, patriotic boy next door? Makes my heart swoon in a way that makes me want to don a nurses cap and live in the 1940s. *Sigh* alright, I'm done now.

Tomorrow we will be in the car on our way to Ohio, so I may have to delay in my 30 days of posting if the day is as crazy as I think it will be. For now though, it's bed time :)

Day 5

Day 5: A picture of a place I've been.

Unfortunately, my image uploader is non-existant tonight. I'm not being dramatic either for once, it's like literally just not there. The most exciting place I've ever been to though is Las Vegas. For my 21st birthday, my grandparents took me with my mom and aunt. I know that probably sounds weird that I didn't go with friends, but my mom and aunt are actually total bad asses and I had more fun with them then I probably would have with anybody else. My grandparents are also not your typical grandparents...actually, my grandmother still mentions on occasion the handsome cabana boy named Jorge we met and makes suggestive comments with appropriate eye brow raises, but I digress!!

Yes, that vacation was absolutely stellar. We didn't gamble much, but we did see alot of sights, relax, saw some good shows, went shopping...lounged by some amazing pools too. Mostly though it was just an amazing trip to spend with some of my favorite people. I was also drunk alot.

I'll have to recap some of my better vegas associated stories though another time :)

Day 4

Yeah yeah, so I missed a day. So sue me!!! Things have been a little hectic around here. We're going on leave to Ohio and New Jersey in less than 48 hours. That means that by friday afternoon I'll be stuck in the truck for the better part of 13 hours with my husband who likes to listen to his music loudly, and doesn't drive well. *Le sigh* memo to self: I might buy some sleeping pills tomorrow at the NEX. Teehee. Okay, so let's get to it.

Day 4: A habit I wish I didn't have.

OOH Easy. I wish that I wasn't always stressed out and worried about everything. I am seriously chicken little in human form and it drives everybody I know crazy...but that's just how I'm wired, and I can't exactly do anything to change it. I wish I could, but till my miracle personality quirk prescription exists, c'est la vie.

Day 3

So basically it's late, and I'm tired. I wanted to post for my 30 day blog thing though so as not to break the habit :)

Day 3: A picture of you and your friends

What's funny is that it was actually kind of hard to find a picture of myself with more than one friend in it, and also a picture that I'm still friends with everyone in it. From left to right, Michelle, Courtney, myself, and Lauren. We were going to a "Casino Night" party that Lauren hosted.

That's all I've got for now as I'm zonked. I'll write more tomorrow!!

ps.- This picture is old!! probably from at least 3-4 years ago. Time flies!

Day 2

Day 02- The meaning behind your Blog name

Before I get started I need to say some things. Right now it's just me in the house and it is quiet and so, so nice. Don't get me wrong, I adore my husband, I do. More than anything in this crazy world.. but since he's been home from Japan he goes to work and check in, then comes home after maybe a half an hour. It's usually really early too, so I don't really feel the time alone because I'm asleep. That being said, he went out with a friend to a BBQ (Yes, in December. Mississippi is warm today) and I chose to stay behind so I could do some laundry and work on some Christmas related things. Yay for progress! It's also oddly therapeutic to be alone with the sound stylings of Jason and Mraz and my dryer. Anyone feel me on the alone time?

Last night I finished my Christmas Cards (about 50 in all) and despite how I felt during filling them out, it didn't kill me. It was actually really refreshing to be able to write out those sentiments and remind myself of how many people in my life I care about. Also, on a side note, I had this brilliant (Read: sarcasm) idea to teach myself how to etch glass to make personalized gifts for some people this year. Well, the gift for Mother in Law that I put sooooo much effort into making perfect? It took a suicide dive off of my computer desk last night which I will admit was completely my fault. I have to remake it today-ish, and I am not at all pleased. Especially the part where I will have to retrieve the stencil out of the trash because my printer breathed it's last puff of life last night. (WHY IS EVERYTHING BREAKING!) I did however score some great stuff to wrap my presents, and I will post pictures if I remember because I'm a cheeseball about things like that.

So yeah now, Day 2, about my blog name. My husband is in the Navy (I think y'all knew that) and works from the Naval Construction Battalion. They are called the " Seabees" (originally the CBs. Get it?) and at some point somebody somewhere thought it'd be cute to call the wives "Honeybees" and the kids "WeeBees". I started the blog while Mike was deployed, so I named it Honeybee Strong. As in, I'm a strong Honeybee (I feel ridiculous for explaining that). But er yeah, that's about the only back story behind it!

Catch y'all later!

30 Days of Blogging

I've decided that I need to pay some more attention to this blog. Over the past few months things have been sooo hectic that my grand plans were put on the back burner. I'm going to start slow.
